The Languidness Of Lonicera
Today's shot constitutes a hat trick of flower or bloom based images over the last three days and is of the honeysuckle not far from our back door that every year languidly profligates and distributes itself through our winter jasmine hedge. In the evening and particularly on warm sunny days it gives off a gloriously fragrant scent. We are so lucky to have it in our garden, especially as it needs virtually no horticultural intervention on my part whatsoever apart from the occasional trimming of some of the longer tendrils.
Lonicera is the botanical name for honeysuckle and I used it in my title as the languidness of honeysuckle didn't quite scan! :-)
