Common Tern

I headed out on my bike to find a cuckoo and found two calling. Neither were in view, though. At the Brig of Brodgar I stopped to look for terns and four flew past. Other birds encountered- a short-eared owl, two hen harriers, a buzzard, a sparrowhawk, The little wood at Happy Valley held some siskin and a late brambling.
