Expecting a storm!!

Spent the day visiting palaces and gardens in Potsdam. Interesting!!

Weather was beautiful with blue skies and the odd fluffy white cloud.

We went along to Potsdamer Plaza to investigate the building and activities in the evening. The dark clouds, lightning and thunder made for interesting skies. The pink pipes that you can see crossing the road are water pipes. The water table is high in Berlin and when building the water has to be pumped out for them to build the foundations.

We made it half way back to the hotel before it heaved with rain!! We diverted in to a small bar and had a beer whilst the rain eased!! Well that's my excuse...all that walking needs a bit of fluid replenishment!!
