Stoke-sub-Hamdon
I'm at the top of Ham Hill, a place where golden stone is quarried for building and ornamental purposes. I'm here to meet two former Tornado navigators and their wives for a small reunion – in the Prince of Wales pub on Ham Hill.
We first flew together in 1986 and I left the squadron (XV Squadron, based at RAF Laarbruch in Germany) in 1988 to fly F16s with the USAF in Florida.
It was a quiet but very enjoyable meeting.
