Rye to the Rescue!

Mrs B was quite miffed to find that her normal sourdough starter had died; it was  no more; it was a late starter; it was nailed . . . no more of this parrot sketch!

But she had a rye-based starter to fall back on and this morning, with the sun warming our solar panels, the oven was on for a welcome bread bake.  This was the result.
