Picking flowers

A sunny day but still a bit breezy in the afternoon. Plenty of baby siskins have arrived now so the sunflower seeds are going down really quickly.
This bluetit has been picking of the blossom. Anyone know why they do that ? Hopefully we’ll still get some cherries later in the year.
Spotted a pair of bullfinches in the trees and could hear the blackcap, did manage to see the female.
