Another happy day
Another happy day, at the end of which we are both very tired but full of gratitude because everything has gone so well and everyone seems to have thoroughly enjoyed themselves. Many of the guests had never been to the Lake District before, and loved it, even though the weather was fairly damp and misty.
About three quarters of the wedding guests gathered back at the hayloft today for Sunday lunch, which gave us all a chance to chat some more and get to know each other a bit better (especially as we weren’t trying to make ourselves heard over the live music as we were last night!).
The afternoon was spent relaxing, during which I popped out and had a walk round the village in order to get some fresh air and exercise after two days spent mostly indoors.
I’m afraid it just has to be another collage. The yellow rhododendrons are beginning to flower, and their scent is wonderful. The building on the top left of the collage is the original Lanty Slee’s Elterwater cocktail bar, little sister to Lanty Slee’s Langdale down the valley where we had the wedding reception. Bottom right is the entrance to the Langdale timeshare estate, which some sheep have decided is good grazing ground. The other two shots are self-explanatory.
