Well, if yesterday was a day of highlights, today was really a procession of disappointments.
It started off with a nationwide public transport strike, which included the vaporretos so we were really stuck to the local area. So, we decided to walk to the Mocenigo, only to find it that, being a Monday, it was closed. Then we thought we'd go to the Palazzo Grassi - but had forgotten to take our tickets. Then we went to the Correr Museum, which was surprisingly quiet - no line at all. But we figured that all the day trippers were kept out of the city because of the strike.
We considered going to Florian's for afternoon, but the cost was so high - Euro60 EACH - we changed our mind. Then we thought we might have a Bellini cocktail at Harry's Bar but, but they were a whopping Euro 22 EACH!!!!
I reckon that the Next Big Thing in fashion is going to be knitwear (or crochet wear) - there's an awful lot of it in the high end shops - all hand made. So, the main image is something that I couldn't wear in a fit, but there's a few things in extras that look quite stylish. And I loved the earrings.
There's also the obligatory street scene, taken from the window of the Correr museum; and a Murano chandelier in the same place.
