Another day, another opportunist.
Yesterday it was a Thrush, today a Lily Beetle involved in a mènage à trois. On a lovely warm day with the garden temperature hitting 20C, I was feeling quite smug believing that the Lily Beetle pests had been confined to the Frittalarias and eliminated due to prompt spraying. To my dismay snuggled up in one of the Lily buds was this little lot, which were promptly terminated with prejudice. Later, a further beetle was seen on another lily so more spraying had to take place. Those who might be offended by the above may choose instead to look at a pink Azalea shrub in the front garden - see extra.
