My Garden

Another beautiful day. Church with mum this morning to a busy, buzzy community of 16 for communion. That's a lot for our little Chapel. Johnny led us in a talk of love, community and vocation and it gave me an 'in' on a conversation with mum which she agreed to.
Brian walked back with us and asked if he could have a walk up the garden as it made him smile. He asked if he could bring his wife back to look.
When he'd gone we had 'That' conversation with mum.  I explained I'm not trying to take away her independence, wouldn't dream of it, but for her to accept the offer of help in the spirit it is meant...an act of kindness and love from us and FK. And others around her. The possibility of a cleaner was also discussed and then she wanted to tell us about her final wishes. The gates of communication are back open.
We had a barbecue and enjoyed the warmth and time together.
Andy took FK for a spin in his new electric Porsche. Full of smiles on his return.
