Just Opened

Today is Ascension Day or Himmelfahrt. Religious holiday for some, public holiday for all; also celebrated as Fathers Day, in a less religious and more alcoholic manner.

It was a lovely sunny day, so B and I went for our 10,000 steps in the morning, before it got too hot. Even at 11 a.m. we already met several groups of men drinking beer and getting into the Father’s Day swing.

Later I spent some of the afternoon on the patio in the shade, knitting and reading. 

Both our peonies and poppies opened today. P blipped the first poppy, so I give you the first flower on our peony.
