The Road Home
Walked up to the village at 09.30. As I was in the bus shelter Carol and Rosie came through the haar (heids doon) into a stiff north wester on their pushbikes. All that was missing was a chequered flag. I asked Rosie where her man, Eoin, was. At home fixing the campervan. However, he probably didn’t need today’s cycle as about four weeks ago he cycled from Kirkwall to Rome. I know. When the research was over I did the return journey; it was just dry enough to cut the grass. Bruiser will be round for his share later. CMC indicates I have to have a stock-check in the Bothy. I didn’t argue. For starters I solved the conundrum of the missing Springbank.
