Feel the Love

Summer Party today.

Despite the wind and rain it was a lovely day. Unlike the past couple of years I actually spent the whole day on the grounds, from about 2pm onwards. Saw Jack doing the lights, had a few drinks, a brief break in the Duck for a Sunday roast, took advantage of the dodgems quite a few times, and actually drove once, which was a first for me!

And Sam convinced me to queue for them just before King Charles was due on - as we were nearing the end of the ride a guitar and drums sound came on and he was getting on stage, and as soon as we stopped driving we jumped out and ran to the stage, so that was fun. Obviously King Charles was absolutely amazing, I even saw him briefly in the Curiositeapi before his set! Exhilarating.

Then Katy B, Rudimental, and a Zane Lowe DJ set which Sam and Hellie eventually decided to stay til the end for, and I'm glad they did! We made our way to the middle of the crowd and couldn't even feel the cold anymore. Despite his being quite an unpleasant man, his set was incredible. Ended on 'Can't Hold Us', and everyone buzzing!

Then back to Charlie and Hellie's for a quick pitstop, and us and Dan went on to the after party! Pretty good day. :)
