Yes it is a slug

Spent the day in Sanquhar pretending to be a lady what lunches and stupidly forgot my camera. However I did learn an interesting Sanquhar fact courtesy of Tina Walker, that they used to collect slugs at Drumboyne farm and mash them up to grease the ropes the coal miners used. I did find it hard to believe but an interesting factoid to verify. So as the saying goes every day is a school day even when you are on holiday!
