London
One thing I really love about so many of our European cities is the clash of architectural styles and eras that really shouldn't work, but somehow do.
In this photo we've got the "Cheesegrater" on the left (which is still under construction), and the sixteenth century Church of St Andrew Undershaft. Not sure what the uninspiring office block is in the middle, but it has a big Aviva sign downstairs in the middle, so presumably something to do with the exciting world of insurance!
The church is one of very few churches in London to have survived both the fire of London and the Blitz. But, very sadly, it lost its seventeenth century large stained glass window to an IRA bomb 20 years ago .....
