Aurora, Parkrun

SATURDAY

I took this shot just after midnight from the balcony at the front of the house and, after all the excitement of a "once in thirty years" aurora, finally rolled into bed at around 01:30.

After less than five hours sleep, I wasn't sure if I would make the Parkrun this morning but managed to get myself over to Holywell in time for the start of the Greenfield Valley run. It was 20ºC at 09:00am which made the tough 2k uphill finish quite challenging. I finished in 23rd place with a time of 00:28:29 which is my second best time for the course.

There could be more spectacular aurora sights tonight so I may be adding to this post later.
