Garden Centre
E and I shared a day of chores. First going to the dump where we had to queue for 20 minutes then to the garden centre. I wanted some new loppers and E wanted a pretty plant as a 60th wedding anniversary present. She ended up buying a rose. The centre was full of bedding plants for the people who live in the town - there is also an "In Bloom" competition for the townsfolk held every year to see who has the prettiest garden. After that we had a light lunch at The Hub on one of the trading estates which is a cafe, and crafts centre where people and factories can donate wool, material etc they don't want and it is run by and for the mentally challenged young people. We spent a couple of hours there, everyone was so friendly, the food was good, the warehouse was light and airy. I came away with a photo frame and a cushion costing next to nothing and we ended up with tea and cake! Our last port of call was to Lidl's followed by a quick dash to Morrisons before heading back by which time the heat was getting to us!
