Early Sun….

The sun is becoming lower in the sky and the light has a touch of gold about it. A crisp, clear morning. A chilly breeze had wiped away an earlier frost.
Mother’s Day. Friend Dawn and I celebrated it by going out for a nice lunch at the cafe at Mitre 10. It was very busy there and we caught up with several friends.
Son Duncan and his partner, Ellen arrived late afternoon. We drove to Rarangi Beach during the evening. We were hoping to see the current dramatic Aurora Australis. There were lots of folk there hoping for a good view. We gave up after a while and drove home . We will have to be content with admiring other folk’s photos on social media. Sigh!
