Meadow Flowers

The grass in the meadow is now green and lush. A smattering of flowers are appearing, like these vetch, and big patches of buttercups. I’m hoping we’ll soon see some butterflies - just a few speckled woods so far.

It’s been a warm few days - 25 degrees - so it’s felt very summery. We are not accustomed to the warmth so I’ve found it quite tiring after being active.

The days have been filled with getting more done at home especially in the garden. What a joy to be out there in the early morning sunshine while it’s still quiet and cool. Andy meanwhile has been busy cooking us some delicious meals - Moroccan last night, and lasagna with salad this evening.

Grateful:
- To Andy for his patience in trying to fix the wheelbarrow tyre which is punctured again. Time for a solid wheel!
- To the goldfinch which joined me in the garden whilst I ate lunch.
- To Merlin for so clearly enjoying the sunshine and cooling off in the very chilly stream water after his walks.
