We decided to get up really early (for us!) to go for an early morning walk to beat the rain. But the rain beat us! We walked right along the seafront and fortunately the drizzle disappeared. The sea had a very dull look about it, but I still loved it. We then saw the sea cadets ship T S Royalist leaving the harbour mouth, and a cruise ship cruising round Portland to moor in Portland harbour. The old and the new -  it I much prefer the look of one of them.
After we had done a few jobs, including ordering new glasses for us both, we went home then the rain started in earnest and continued for the day.
