Just as a rain shower was moving in my friend and I headed to Fountain Creek Nature Center to see if we could see some red-winged blackbirds.
Well we were not disappointed! 
Along with the showy red-wings, we also so a great horned owl family (baby in lower left corner) and a flirtatious common grackle (lower right corner).
It was a short but fruitful birding outing.
