"The Wild Flower"...

...A walk along the riverbank at midday produced lots of lovely shots I had to choose from, including the riverboats, all of the wild life currently down at our end of the river so we discovered - a photographer's dream really, however, I thought you would have seen enough of the wild life for the moment, but here is a Wild Flower - it is called the Spotted Emu Bush or Eremophila Maculata - it's also known as Native Fuchsia...we used to grow these and many others some years ago on the block we once owned... We covered it with beautiful trees and native bushes and flowers, some bulbs here and there, wagons, seats, a table, a little creek fed from the run-off from our home next to the block, and all trees and bushes were labelled..

...We thoroughly enjoyed our own little wilderness, right next to our home..

...As we eventually sold our home of 19years as the kids had left home and we shifted away from where the block was, we decided to sell it as well eventually, and it was a ready-made garden for someone - however, it was sold and we discovered later - to a developer and everything was graded out, it was subdivided into 2 blocks and 2 lovely homes were put onto it..but we have our memories, and our photos and that's why I personally think photos of our lives past and present have always been so important as things change very quickly sometimes..

...But now, we see these lovely bushes right where we go for walks along the riverside and nearby, some growing in their native areas, so profusely...and where they can be appreciated by all who walk by..

...In this capture, you'll see both the 'PS Mundoo' and the 'PS Melbourne' out of focus in the distance, just over the riverbank, where they are moored for the next couple of months...I must say though, it is very quiet here at the moment, even though we are having beautiful weather...
