The old oak across

Is there something wrong with the old oak across the street when there is not a single bud visible yet? He is only forty-fifty years old, only half of my age. I feel weak and miserable but this is only a fraction of the age an oak can reach. Oh woe, what can I trust on anymore, if he gives in?
