Came So Far For Beauty . . . Leonard Cohen

Jen and I walked beside the Matai River and out to the sea wall.  We had coffee in the sunshine looking at the boats reflected in the marina.
The sculpture is Sanctuary by Fiona Sutherland.  I think it is the perfect name for her as she craddles a Takahe which is endangered.  A Takahe is a flightless swamp hen.  She was bathed in morning sunshine.
