Bee on melittis
This is a bee on the melittis in the raised bed that we populated two weeks ago. I am extremely pleased with how the plants have bedded in. Today we spent the morning at the garden centre and then populated the second raised bed (extras). The acer was one we had already and we moved from a pot into this bed. The two plants either side are foxgloves (Foxlight Ruby Glow) which should grow to two feet tall and have a beautiful pink and orange flower. The purple flowers at the end are Polemonium Bressingham Purple and are pretty much at their full height but should spread a bit.
We also planted a couple of globe thistles in the raised bed from 3 years ago. I really hope they take as I know the bees love them and I think they look great in photos.
In extras, just for a laugh, what happens when you forget you left the focus stacking on.
