River of Flowers

Thursday: Criccieth

Dry and sunny this morning, which was very handy as we needed to go over to Criccieth finished our business by midday and both of us felt peckish and we stopped off at Bryncir Garden Centre for cake and tea and coffee.

Next stop was Caernarfon where we walked around some of my favourite places. Walking along the road next to the Menai Strait we bumped into an old friend of mine from our Table Top Sales days at Beaumaris, we had a good catch up, she is now a tour guide for groups coming on cruise ships into Holyhead  :-)

Popped into Home Bargains for some little gifts for our granddaughters, then had a quick grocery shop at Waitrose where I saw and chatted with another friend that I’ve known since the mid 1980s when I worked as a Computing Instructor at the Anglesey Training Centre in Llangefni.

It had started raining as we drove back to Menai Bridge and we had a few hours of very heavy rain … good for the garden!

We are both exhausted after our very exciting day …
