Tazones

A gentle stroll around the fishing port of Llastres - very much a working port . Then we found our way to the lighthouse where we are our picnic observed by a huge bull, cow and calves . There was a steep drop behind the lighthouse.
We drove on to Talzones, a quaint small porker once used for whaling and famous because Charles 1st of Spain landed there before gaining power in the sixteenth century!
There were lots of little streets winding round the fishermen’s houses and lots of fish restaurants where people were eating delicious looking paellas. It reminded us of Robin Jood’s Bay in Yorkshire . The coastline is Jurassic here and there is even a dinosaur museum down the road !:)
We liked the shell house you can see here in the picture on the left .
The river estuary at Villaviciosa, a ria formation was interesting too .
