Greece day 6

Day 5 Vytina to Ancient Olympia. A fantastic ride! 51 miles. Oh wow what a most spectacular day of cycling. 1200ft down hill, but with 5 climb pros ( significant climbs), so not as easy as my tour operator had advertised.  The scenery and mountain villages we rode through were stunning. Real touring today, stopping for double expresso’ and the stickiest pastry, then cokes because all the locals shouted hello as we went past, and then finally at a very Greek taverna for a Greek salad lunch.  We went past some sleeping dogs, Pete woke them up, and I think they were annoyed at missing him, but then they were delighted at seeing me. Gears cranked up, water bottle (in sore, totally inefficient hand) at the ready pedalling as fast as I could I out cycled them! . Terrifying fun! 
Now in Olympia, very sleepy. The ancient sight and museum were both very interesting. 
Pete has rearranged tomorrow, so no off day (yeah!) and the epic Sunday ride is split into 2. Phew!
