A very proud parent
On my way to Bamburgh, I stopped in Seahouses to join one of today’s trips to the Farne Islands. I chose the one that gave us an hour on Inner Farne.
I had not anticipated the sea fret. When I lived in Saltburn and sea frets were frequent, they were part of life. Today’s fret was unwelcome.
The sea was rough(ish) and I could not see the horizon. It was good to return to the mainland.
The puffins are back as are the Arctic terns. Here is a razorbill guarding an egg. What you can’t imagine is the noise and the smell!! The terns are not as aggressive as I expected, but wait until the nests are built.
My hotel is fine and I are well there tonight.
I could not persuade my camera and iPad to communicate until I deleted the App and started again.
There may be extras in due course.
