The gasman cometh Part III...

...only they haven't yet...

Too much to hope for that the holes will be filled in a timely fashion!

The two lads who did the main bulk of the job were excellent - Roy rang up yesterday to leave a top-notch review. 

This collage of signs is for Silly Saturday - Highways came to inspect the site part way through the job, and insisted that they put up a sign that said "Footway" rather than "Footpath". Footways are pavements at the edge of roads, apparently, and footpaths go across fields...

They had to call in the "sign wagon" to do this - and had a 2 hour slot to get it right. They also had to have cones on the outside of the fences, as it affected the road, and road narrows signs. 

We live in a cul-de-sac - no-one can drive through, and no-one uses that footpath footway... Instead of leaving them to it to do their job, is had to be dotted and ts crossed, and they had to send photographs in to the office at every stage of the operation.

The other yellow fence is at our side door - which is the one we use all of the time. Luckily we get on well with the neighbours ;)
