Smokies

Today we took a visit to Tarbert Seafood festival....excellent.

Amongst many other things here was a visitor from Arbroath making smokies on the seafront, fascinating and simple. We bought some for our picnic tomorrow along with some langoustine tails which are a favourite in this house. The sun is due to shine so we are planning a picnic on the beach.

I liked this shot because of the patterns, these are the unsmoked haddock waiting to be put in the smoker. I tried to get some more atmospheric shots that included all the smoke but I didn't like them much in the end because there were too many people in bright clothes in them.
