Kerbside Bite, The Horseshoes, East Farleigh

Another (!) gloriously sunny day today but will still had to get on with the usual Sunday food shop. As is tradition we then went to The Horseshoes pub in East Farleigh for a pint afterwards. It was so lovely that we sat in the garden so we could fully enjoy the weather. On the way back to the car I spotted today's image which felt weirdly Martin Parresque to me. I rather like the wonkiness of the shot but unlike Mr.Parr no flash was involved even if it looks as if it was!
Apparently, a mere half an hour or so before we arrived a procession of bikers had just left so I'm presuming one of them had left his lunch behind on the kerb (it's a bit of a bugbear of mine that a lot of pub customers don't take their glasses and plates back to the bar when they've finished eating and drinking - it's a small gesture but the often overrun staff really do appreciate you making the effort).
In the background of the image is the manege belonging to a riding school which is also named The Horseshoes! Often on a Sunday you can see people riding round it under instruction. The journey back was interrupted by a number of road closures so it took as quite a while longer to arrive home. We went through a number of villages we'd never heard of before - Rams Hill, Benover and my favourite, Mockbeggar!
