Pushing Up A Daisy, Trottiscliffe
I spotted this peony bush and the rather lonely looking daisy in the churchyard of St.Peter & St.Paul's in Trottiscliffe. I really liked it's sense of over ripe voluptuousness which I thought gave it a slightly gothic sense of unease (but that's probably just me!). Apparently peonies only flower for between seven to ten days in late Spring/early Summer. We did have a peony bush at the front of our house but it slowly became subsumed under some winter jasmine and hasn't flowered now for a number of years.
After a pretty bad week last week I've realised I need to keep myself much busier so I'm going to try the following:
A run every day (even when I really don't feel like it).
Listen to some meditation podcasts to try and calm my brain
Get images together to produce a street photography book via Photobox (I've done one book and it came out really well)
Take at least one image every day
Look out my old film camera and give it a go
Watch more Walkie Talkie with Paulie B videos on You Tube. I find them fascinating and strangely relaxing to watch.
