SHADOW
As Mr. HCB is going home tomorrow, we decided to walk along the cliff path again to Little Pickle for early morning coffee and toast. He will then be going backwards and forwards to Cheltenham to watch cricket for the next two weeks, but I will be staying by the sea and enjoying glorious sunshine, I hope!
The sun was shining brightly, so my blip for the HeartFreek July Photo Challenge was easily decided - Shadow, the definition for which is:
A dark figure or image cast on the ground or some surface by a body intercepting light.
Well, here are two dark figures - the one on the left is Mr. HCB and the one on the right is guess who? We did get rather a lot of funny looks as we waved at our shadows but I have found that being a blipper sometimes means being crazy and determined and I was not deterred!
A second definition is:
Shelter; protection:
which reminded me of these verses:
Those who live in the shelter of the Most High
will find rest in the shadow of the Almighty.
This I declare about the Lord:
He alone is my refuge, my place of safety;
he is my God, and I trust him.
Psalm 91 : 1-2
New Living Translation
Spent a lovely afternoon on the beach with friends, plastered with Factor 50 and wearing our hats, and we even paddled in the sea - it was too nice to be blipping in the day!
Hope your day has been full of sunshine and may you be truly blessed tomorrow!
