Mama and babies
I saw a robin in a nearby tree and was going to take her photo, but she flew before I could get the camera focused. She flew into this rhododendron where she had a nest. The babies were hungry.
When I got up this morning, the radar showed some rain moving thru the area, but it never actually hit the ground. A few spits, but not even enough to make the ground wet. I decided to take the chance and go for a walk at the French Basis Trail before breakfast.
Back to the motel to have breakfast and pack up my things. The next visit was to the Annapolis Royal Historic Gardens, one of the top public gardens in Canada. It was around 11:45 when I left there, so I decided to stop at a nearby garden center to kill some time. Then back into town to park the truck near where the plant sale was being held. I walked along the waterfront, followed a trail across to Fort Anne, then back to the truck to collect a box for carrying plants. People were lined up waiting for the rope to drop.
I picked up a plant for a friend and dropped it off to her on the way home. She really appreciated me doing that as she was having a bad day. It was one she wanted to place at her brother's grave.
When I came home, 3 pieces of furniture had been put to the curb, a dresser, a cabinet and a desk. When I came in the house, I noticed the coat rack (mine) that he had been using was missing. He emptied it and put it in the garage. His door was open several inches, so I could see there is still a lot of stuff in his room. He now has a few storage bins sitting in the garage where his recyclables had been sitting, so I still cannot get at my stuff. But at least it looks like he is packing things ready to move.
