Early risers
We travelled most of yesterday with a 9am flight to Istanbul and then a connection to Gatwick arriving home about 8pm.
We did catch the second half of the final Premier League games on the radio and 2/4 of our FF league are delighted with the outcome , one not so much but the one with the most points is even more happy as despite a shocking performance yesterday his team qualified for Champions League next year.
It’s good to be home, laundry on and a bath before bed as we were flagging with the +4hr time difference. Coffee this morning in our new Uzbekistan pottery cups.
Thank you to all who followed our journey, and commented. It really was a very different holiday - so many varied experiences and we really feel having done the far flung trips at the beginning and the end we got a taste of the real Uzbekistan, as well as seeing the iconic Great Silk Road sites.
I’d highly recommend using a local Uzbek company as we did as most of the UK based company tours are more focused on only the big 3 of Khiva, Bhukara and Samarkand from our own research.
Uzbekistan is so much more!!!
