SWEET TREATS
We had an extremely lazy start and then drove to old Hunstanton for a meal at the pub we had had a drink at yesterday.
Sadly the weather was not as lovely so we had to sit inside and the food was barely ok!!!
But sometime on the beach was lovely….some sheltering from the wind in the dunes at first. The Rev got too cold and went to sit in the beach cafe.
#I went for a paddle…note the colour coordination!
.#Daisy and I went for a walk. She even went for a paddle and picked up a live cockle in a shell!!!!
We spent some time on a raised sand bank and didn’t notice the tide come in. Daisy wasn’t going to walk through that so I had to carry a very soggy doggy!!! My lovely summer dress was soaking.
As the weather couldn’t decide what to do
# I had a hot chocolate and an ice cream.
#on the way home we stopped at the church, which was massive for a village church. It has the second tallest spire in Norfolk.
#we also spent some time with the sheep. All the babies were dark brown but the parents were grey!
#we had the last of my Cornish hamper in the sunshine and enjoyed just being peaceful.
# In the evening we went for a walk around the village.
