Tuesday: Toad in a Pot
Tomato flower of “Tumbling Tom” and our first Foxglove with orange Calendula from last year in the background, so nice to see lots of flowers again! :-)) … this has been demoted to EXTRAS
MrD cut the hedge with pruning shears so as not to disturb any nesting birds. Bluetit and Great Tit chicks have fledged, parents running ragged looking for food whilst the chicks cheeped non-stop … after lunch he went for a ride on his motorbike.
I finally planted the flower bulbs I bought a couple of weeks ago - https://www.blipfoto.com/entry/3231717037210340113 . Started off sunflower and Corn Marigold seeds from CGS, Agapanthus from my friend K, Cornflowers & Chrysanthemums from http://higgledygarden.com . Everything is in clear plastic containers to give them the best chance of not being munched by slugs and snails …
Watched the last episode of “Wanted” set in Australia …
Found this beautiful Toad this evening in a pot of dead plants which I was going to tip into the compost bin, luckily I pulled one of the plants and felt the familiar coolness of a Toad … :-))
Loads of love and hugs to all my family / Cariad Mawr
