Little lanterns

I had a lovely surprise when I went to have a closer look at the Crinodendron that I had planted about six years ago. It was about twenty centimetres tall when a friend gave it to me as a cutting from her own large shrub. Now, it is over two metres tall and has lots of these unusual red blooms ready to burst open.
It was a warm day and Bertie searched out shady areas in the garden where he could relax. He is a very sensible dog. For the first time this year, Nick went fishing from the rocks at Caillaich and came home with two lovely pollock.
