A glistening autumn day

A mixed and full day and after housekeeping necessities I headed down to the stitching cave, chose fabric to border the latest hexagon quilt and sewed those on; chose fabric for the binding and made that and also chose fabric for the backing and made that also. All now ready for the quilting lady to sandwich together on her long arm quilting machine under her artistic hands.
The sun was catching the fallen cherry tree leaves just outside the sewing room and I thought you might enjoy them too.
Later in the day after some hand stitching, I decided to take a deep breath and clear all the surfaces in the small "official" sewing room adjacent to my bigger room. It houses a bench which carries my sewing machines and a fair portion of my fabric collection. It's been crying out for a rationalised appraisal of both fabric and pattern collections so today was the day and I took it all into the bigger room and placed it on my cutting table ready to sort over the coming days, before returning to the small room and damp dusting shelving , walls, skirting etc. It may well take me a week or two!
