The Tip Of The Iceberg
It was back to grey and cool weather again today so I thought I would just try an experiment for today's image.
I haven't got a macro lens and my lack of technical skills mean that most of the time I'm just guessing at ISO's and apertures but sometimes I like it that way because it produces unexpected results.
This shot was taken in our front room with the net curtains in the background giving it an almost soft focus feel. The liquid in the glass isn't actually wine (it didn't produce the colour I wanted and in my opinion ice in wine is sacrilege anyway!) but a soft drink and the ice cube hadn't frozen properly so the tip has quite a strange shape to it which adds something different - I didn't say better! :-)
