Speeding ticket !

Soon after this pic was shot, there was a break in the solid white line so we pulled out to pass these cyclists. The trouble was we didn't see the 60km sign and got clocked for speeding - 500 Dirhams. (about $75 NZ). We actually didnt have that much cash on us, and there was no way we were surrendering our drivers license while going back to town (5km) to get cash. For some reason the officer seemed very uncomfortable about the idea of me staying as security (in lieu of license) while D went back to get the cash and pay the office in town. After some long debate in halting English he settled on 200 Dirhams but would not give us a receipt. Was this just a bribe then? We didn't argue too much as at least now we had our licenses and passports back.
