Light in the Arctic

...for twenty four hours a day, and perfectly still weather conditions, meant we could make the most of the last hours of our expedition in the wee hours to be on the water. The Kongsfjorden was pond-like and glistening. I will hold these images in my mind’s eye forever: the wildness, the fragility, the infinite and overwhelming magnificence, the silence as well as the music of ice.

In extras are some of the small icebergs, sculptured by wind into ethereal shapes, floating in their blue world.

Thank you for coming along and sharing the delights of the Arctic over the past 10 days.  I truly appreciate all your generous comments, stars and hearts along the way. We will be back home this weekend. Have a restful one, everyone.
