2024 Friday — Urban Greenhouse
This happened today . . . our Friday adventure . . . started on Wednesday when we drove to the Costco in SLO (you all know that's San Luis Obispo, right?); because our veterinarian told us our pups' medicines are cheaper there.
After our stop at the pharmacy, we walked thru Costco because I wanted to get some plastic tubs . . . a person cannot have enough plastic tubs, really! So on our way to the plastic tub aisle, we saw these "Urban Greenhouses." Mr. Fun thought they had potential. So I instantly put this on my "I Want List" and walked on looking for tubs.
Later back at the house, I showed Mr. Fun two places that an "Urban Greenhouse" could sit. I didn't realize that I did not need to convince him. He was quietly trying to determine how we could get not only one of those greenhouses home from Costco, but two! A "his" and a "hers." Well, probably an upper backyard and lower backyard greenhouse, which would also be a place to store our yard tools and potting soil.
"Wanting one" and "getting one home" are worlds apart. So we headed to SLO this morning. All the Costco employees were extremely helpful. A couple of workers put the boxes on a cart; once we got outside, two workers were quick to hoist the boxes into the back of our car.
All the way back to the house we wondered how we'd get the boxes out of the car, but Mr. Fun backed the car into the garage and slid the boxes very carefully; they are now in the garage.
We are still considering how they will be hauled up the stairs to our uphill backyard. Our Wednesday, now Friday adventure will become Saturday's. We're getting lots of mileage from this adventure. So this story might continue.
Good night from
