Freestyle Champion

Gollum has performed succesfully in Heelwork To Music since he was very young, but last year we also took Canine Freestyle up. We made a small beginners routine and entered a competition. Gollum did brilliantly and won the class. So we did a little more.... 

And today - after just 9 freestyle competitions - he gained his 3rd Freestyle Certificate and won the title Danish Freestyle Champion. 9 is the absolute minimum of competitions you need to finish the title as you need to qualify the novice class 3 times, the intermediate class 3 times and then win 3 certificates in the Advanced class. What Gollum has done is quite unique. 

I knew already when I sent in my entry for this show, that I would not be very motivated to compete this close to our return from the World Championship, so I only entered this one class. Mostly because Gollum only qualified for the advanced freestyle class a few months ago and he need 4 qualifying scores to qualify for the Danish Championship in August. Without this competition, he would not have time to get 4  scores. 

So we went to the venue at about lunch, I did Gollum's routine and then hang out for a couple of hours. Soon after the prize giving we left again and I took the boys out to play. See the extra.
