Dancing the night away
This is a very late posting.
The morning was spent doing household chores and trying to reply to texts, emails and messages, all of which I was behind with. I also roasted nuts and made crackers.
The young window cleaner arrived and did a good job cleaning the windows inside and out. We couldn’t manage the high windows and we have lots of tasks to attend to so we decided to get him to do the windows for us.
We had an early supper then walked down to the Victoria Lounge Bar to collect some coffee beans, have a drink and chat with J. He always has interesting things to tell us and is a font of all knowledge to do with Oamaru. After that little interlude we walked to the Oamaru Club to meet friends and enjoy some music and dancing. It was a great night and we discovered well into the evening that we knew the bass guitarist when his wife came up to us as we walked off the floor and gave us a hug. Although he’d looked familiar I didn’t realise who he was because I wasn’t expecting to see him in a band.
As we were walking home after 11pm I realised I didn’t have a blip, so MrM suggested a photo of one of the freight trucks that are constantly on the move up and down SH1. Of course, we were almost at the intersection where we turn off to walk to our road before one appeared, so I took a front and back view.
It was after midnight before we got to bed, tired but happy.
I still haven’t been on blip because time runs away from me so I am still way behind with comments. I do enjoy reading what everyone’s been doing and seeing the photos and I’m missing that.
