The .............

 ........... saga of our driveway.

Some of you may remember it all starting back in April 2023 when we got rid of the gravel drive (or you may not!!).

Much disruption and it dragged on and on and ....... until mid-May and then all work ceased and I found quite a lot of "issues".    Looked fine from a distance but ....... !!

To cut a long story short eventually we came to a mutual agreement and the drive was finally sealed with a tinted sealer on Saturday (both Steve the Sealer and I had fingers crossed the forecast rain would hold off - it did).
This is how it looked on Sunday morning after heavy rain.  Not perfect - nor as it had been discussed it would turn out - but definitely an improvement on the original "finished product"  -  and a HUGE improvement on the nasty gravel driveway with all its weeds and disappearing-in-the-car-tyres stones.   The black masking tape comes off after 48 hours!

He intends to colour-seal it again and then that should be the end of it all.   A financial agreement was also reached (I've already paid a total of 65%) and the company are going to cut their losses with no more for me to pay.   

I'd rather have a perfect drive, to be honest, however I can live with the agreement we have reached.
