AFTER HEAVY DREAMS

in the night I felt happy to see the sky blue in the morning.
An early start, Piet Hein to his swim, I wanted to find an extraordinary caterpillar that I suspected to see in the dunes, where one had crossed the cycle path at an amazing speed. But before arriving there I noticed the butterflies on the thistles along the path.
First better try here and find the caterpillar if any later.
So many persons were already heading for the beach. By car, cycling, and walking.
This amazing warm day nobody wanted to let slip by without some coolness at the seaside.
The special caterpillar I did not see, after long looking I discovered some little ones eating their little stomaches (if they have any) full.
I phoned Mischa to ask if she wanted to come to the Pluk farm (former Bijdorp city farm). There she could take photos and walk in the beautiful Heempark nearby and buy some vegetables from their garden. Pluk means pick in dutch.
They let us pick strawberries by ourselves, the red, lovely sweet ones.
Time for lunch and after that working on Mischa's short story.
Again a nap and by request I started to make a carrot cake.
Bakery not my strongest point, if one at all. But perhaps I can improve myself in this area.
When the cake is ready we will go to the beach and swim for a minute.

My haiku:

The soft wings trembling
The tiny head, and eyes closed
Searching the inside

And the proverb:

Every cake hath its make.

New to me of course. I once made a Dundee cake for my mother in law, fourty years ago or more! This cake tasted delicious, end of story.
