A travel day

Dry in the morning for a walk by the Dee. Saw a heron fishing in the mouth of the Feugh. In extra.

Got to the airport more quickly than expected, dropped hire car off, bus to Union Square. Blip is the view of Aberdeen harbour from the 727 bus .. the Northlink ferry is lurking in the right corner.  Got the earlier train; it was busy, but not noisy. Despite the weather forecast for rain, had a dry walk up from the station.  The station does have unexpected puddles under the roof leaks out on the platforms ..

Out later on to walk by the Water of Leith paths; they have been scoured by the flood, but seem to be intact and less muddy than they might have been. One adult swan on the main Inverleith pond, and the young female was feeding near but not on the nest. No visible eggs.
