Mum at the foxglove gate
Mum and her carer Patty came to lunch today. I cooked a Diana Henry chicken and orange dish that worked out very well and then an elderflower drizzle sponge recipe from Nigella Lawson that I found on the internet. It was completely delicious warm with thick cream. It was sunny but quite windy so we didn’t eat outside but the sun shone through the doors.
After lunch we walked slowly up to the woods and I took this picture of her between the foxgloves in the spot I’ve been enjoying photographing. Then I picked some elderflower, and a rose to make some cordial.
They went off to a tea party (!) and I carried on in the garden, planting up pots.
